Today is a big day in the Vanover house. It is the first official day of Kathryn's room being completely overcrowded...with her big girl bed! It arrived bright and early this morning, and, as Kathryn was so excited she could barely keep the oatmeal on her spoon, we immediately had to set up with sheets, bed skirt, and the extremely girly quilt set that she picked out. Here's the result:

Now, the actual sleeping part didn't really work out. She was so excited that she just kept climbing in and out and playing until I finally went in and put her back in her crib. She was not too impressed by that decision, but she did take a nap. I guess it's a gradual transition.

so cute. what's with our girly-girls? i can't remember the exact name of kylinn's paint color, but i'm pretty sure it was something like, "make your mama nauseas with the sugary sweetness."

i also love how she thinks any baby on the computer is baby drew.
This is a big milestone in a parents life. Bittersweet for sure. Can't wait to check it out when we come for her birthday!
We're making small improvements so far. She actually stayed in bed for about 20 minutes after I left the room yesterday and we read her bed time stories all snuggled under her blankets (instead of on the couch) per her request. I think we're getting there.
U NEED TO USE THE CRIB AS PUNISHMENT LIKE "IF U DONT GO TO SLEEP U WILL HAVE TO GO SLEEP IN THE BABY BED AND NOT THE BIG GIRL BED" IS ALL MIND CONTROL MAKE HER THINK SHE IS GETTING WHAT SHE WANTS.

OUR PROBLEM IS GETTING KY OUT THE THE SLEEPING BAG AND BACK INTO THE BED. BUT SHE DOES SLEEP ALL NIGHT IN THE BAG SO I DONT REALY CARE WHERE SHE SLEEPS AS LONG AS ITS IN SHE ROOM.
